On 21 February 2024, Shun-Ling Chen, Co-Lead of Work Package 4 within HRJust, participated in a virtual panel titled “Practical Guidance on the Application Procedure in Horizon Europe & Sharing of Successful Experiences.” The event was organized following an invitation from the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation and co-hosted together with the National Science and Technology Council.
The panel, which gathered more than 100 registered participants, aimed to strengthen networking and collaboration between researchers based in the European Union and Taiwan, while offering practical insights into participation in Horizon Europe projects. Drawing on her involvement in HRJust from the project’s earliest stages, Chen shared experiences from the proposal development process, the preparation of grant agreements, and the practical realities of project implementation; including the administrative hurdles a first-time fully funded third-country partner may encounter. The session provided a platform for exchange on navigating funding procedures and highlighted lessons learned from international research collaboration within Horizon Europe projects.
